So Many Regrets

What's up, Tumblr?!

So, this is a personal blog for the one and only...me. I'll write some personal tidbits here as well as blog/reblog basically anything that appeals to me. There's seriously no rhyme or reason to this blog and that's why I like it so much. There are a few..."repetitive" (and I use that word lightly) themes that you'll see looking through this blog. A lot of Tom Hiddleston, Loki, Thor, a good bit of comic book geekery, anime geekery, inspirational stuff, etc. etc. It's just a stupid personal blog. *nodnod*

As a forewarning, however, I'll go through short periods of inactivity. It'll span a few days to a few weeks and on the rare occasion a few months. Just know that I'll be back and I haven't forgotten about Tumblr or the blog. You can never get away from Tumblr...

There’s the “I believe in Jesus” Christian and then there’s the “Dinosaurs never existed and Pokemon is evil” Christians.

This is so accurate. At school, we literally have children who will watch our facial expressions to see if them falling is as bad as they think it might be.

CORRECT CHILD INJURY PROCEDURE:

  • do not react. at the most, maybe wince and go “ooooh”
  • go over to the child to assess panic level and severity of injury
  • if they’re like, dying, remain calm, but they’re probably not.
  • look them in the eye and ask, “you okay?” they will nod. possibly all teary-eyed. then ask, “are we gonna need to cut it off?”
  • the child is thrown off. if they giggle, you’re in the money. if they do not, put a bandaid on and do some sympathetic patting. they are probably a little teary. let the sad little bug sit out for a minute. they will quickly get bored.
  • works every time

"sad little bug" is the cutest and most accurate term ive heard used to describe a child because sometimes bugs are kinda super cute sometimes bugs are really fucking annoying and sometimes bugs are downright TERRIFYING

EXCUSE ME BUT THIS RING. NO ONE NOTICED IT?????

Actually I’ve seen people mention it since the first episode.

It’s Capaldi’s wedding ring. He never takes it off, even when acting.

To add to the story, he refuses to take it off because when his acting career was struggling, his wife never gave up on him. When he landed his first major gig, he decided to not take it off, to represent he was there because of his wife’s support.

This is the sweetest and best thing I’ve eve heard about any behind-the-scenes ever

ONE THING YOU SHOULD NEVER CALL AN ATTRACTIVE WOMAN

There are many ways to kindly and respectfully compliment the way a woman looks. But one descriptor that should be left out of such comments? “Exotic.”

Cristen Conger of the How Stuff Works podcast, Stuff Mom Never Told You, takes on the topic of “exotic” beauty.

Watch the full video with Conger explaining how Lupita Nyong’o was “exoticized” during the 2014 Oscar season here.
